A special showing of the documentary Songs to Keep: Treasures of an Adirondack Folk Collector
commemorates the life of Adirondack historian Marjorie Lansing Porter, and helps Mountain Lake PBS celebrate its 40th anniversary year.
Songs to Keep, the story of a historian who collected and preserved folk songs of the Adirondacks, features tunes performed by The Bacon Brothers, Jamie Savage & Sue Grimm Hanley, and a host of Adirondack performers.
The Emmy award-winning Songs to Keep airs on Mountain Lake PBS at 9pm on Monday, complete with closing comments from its producer Paul Larson and Flashback 57 host Jennifer Kowalczyk.
