Canadians Head to Polls to Choose New Federal Government

Canadians headed to the polls this week to choose a new federal government. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau got re-elected, but his Liberal Party lost its majority in Parliament. Quebec’s Bloc Quebecois Party tripled the number of seats it holds, and the Conservative Party picked up 26 seats, and won the overall popular vote with the backing of Western Provinces.
