Camp TV Coming to Mountain Lake PBS this July

It’s summer! Usually, our kids might be spending these next few weeks at a day camp, but due to many of the restrictions still in place in the state of New York, most day camps still aren’t fully operational yet. Luckily, Mountain Lake PBS has a fun, at-home alternative coming July, 20: Camp TV, a day camp experience in your living room!

Camp TV will be led by Zachary Noah Piser, a Broadway performer from shows such as Dear Evan Hansen and Wicked. He will be the enthusiastic head counselor whose bright personality will help to guide “campers” as they learn through play. Each episode will be an hour long and will feature a theme of the day, like “song day,” “cooking day,” and “heroes day.” Every episode also includes a storytelling segment that features a different book of the day!

With Zach’s help, kids will learn about the arts, music, theatre, nature, science, math, and reading, with segments featuring educational and cultural organizations from around the nation such as the New York Public Library, Lincoln Center Education, and Wildlife Conservation Society.

Even though the show will be premiering on Mountain Lake PBS Monday, July, 20, it is also available on WNET to watch full episode and clips.

And if you want to start getting in the mood, you can go to PBS Parents for summer activities you and your kids can do together like building a bug house or creating a pool noodle obstacle course! Or visit PBSLearning Media to check out their special collection all about Camp TV!
