Breaking New Ground

New York State is moving ahead with plans to turn the former Frontier Town theme park in North Hudson, NY into a recreational hub. The landmark is getting a 25-million-dollar makeover that will turn the popular wild west theme park into a campground, RV park and equestrian center that will include trails for horseback riding, hiking, biking, and snowmobiling. State and Community Leaders who gathered for an official groundbreaking this past week say they’re hopeful the new attraction will become a gateway for outdoors enthusiasts and tourists heading into the Adirondacks. Paul & Joan Mrocka are joining the venture, building a new brewery near the entrance to the park to expand their craft beer business.
The couple plan to have their tasting room open by next Memorial Day.

The State is also hoping to attract other businesses, a few are already in the process of submitting bids.
