Student Musicians got the chance to shine this past weekend at the Strand Theatre in Plattsburgh with acclaimed blues artist Kevin Burt, who welcomed students from Moriah & Peru Central schools to join him on stage and being part of his “Big Love” blues concert that also featured Montreal Blues musician Dawn Tyler Watson. And during the show, 28 students were given brand new guitars by the national organization, Kids Rock The Nation. The memorable night wrapped up a week of concerts & workshops by Kevin Burt who visited 5 area schools where he encouraged students to be willing to think outside the box when it comes to their careers.
