Bluegrass All-Stars Coming To Harborside Stage

Bluegrass fans are in for a special treat on July 31, as the Revenants — three Bluegrass Gospel Project alumni who formed their own band after the Bluegrass Gospel Project retired and quickly earned a reputation as a first-rate bluegrass trio — take Plattsburgh’s Harborside Stage at 7:30 pm.

Co-presented by Curbside At Harborside and Palmer Street Coffeehouse, the concert marks the first live, in-person concert for the Coffeehouse since the COVID-19 pandemic began, a welcome return for this highly respected Plattsburgh-based acoustic music organization.

Featuring Andy Greene on guitar and vocals, Taylor Armerding on mandolin and vocals, and Kirk Lord on upright bass, The Revenants combine a tapestry of richly textured instrumental and vocal harmonies with a unique style that lends itself well to a wide stylistic range, from traditional bluegrass classics to contemporary bluegrass originals to unique takes on time-honored works by a diverse range of artists such as Bob Seger, Martin Crenshaw, and Jesse Winchester. The group will present several works from their newly released album, as well as other selections for which they have become well-known among listeners throughout the Northeast.

Gates open at 6:30 p.m. for parking at the Harborside Stage — located at 2 Dock Street in Plattsburgh, behind the D&H Railroad Station and adjacent to the City of Plattsburgh Marina — with the concert beginning at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $20 per carload (not per person) with all proceeds going to the artists.

Attendees can bring a lawn chair and sit outside for the concert, or can remain inside their vehicles and listen to the music broadcast directly from the stage over their car radio. Audience members fully vaccinated for COVID-19 are not required to wear a face mask, but attendees are requested to refrain from bringing alcohol or pets into the Harborside Lot.

Tremendous thanks are due to Cedar Knoll Log Homes and to Upstone Materials for their generous sponsorship of this concert, which allows this program to be provided as an affordable live music offering.
