This Friday September 30th and Saturday October 1st , Orchestre de l’Agora will play the world premieres of works by four exceptional emerging composers from Quebec in “Big Bang – Sommet de la création.”
———————–
The Orchestre de l’Agora gave the four creators, Francis Battah, Alexandre David, Symon Henry, and Laurence Jobidon, the chance to investigate the concepts that now interest and motivate them, in conjunction with Groupe Le Vivier and under the leadership of maestro Nicolas Ellis.
Discover the work of multidisciplinary artist Symon Henry.
Visual and sound artist, composer, poet, non-binary, queer, half-Arab, half-Québécois , Symon Henry is a multi-faceted artist who has created his own precise musical language and is one of the few artists that work with graphic scores.
The musicians who will perform the work must learn to adjust to new cues, such as the pitch and power of the notes, for example, because their visual scores are works of art and musical partitions.
The Orchestre de l’Agora will perform this one-of-a-kind piece during the concert “Big Bang – Sommet de la création.”
