With the COVID pandemic, the U.S.-Canada border has been closed for nearly a year to non-essential travel. But now the new Administration in Washington is looking to change that. During his first few days in office, President Biden signed an executive order that sets in motion federal agencies collaborating with the Canadian government to safely reopen the Northern Border in the coming months. For now, there is no timetable yet to reopening the border. With Quebec in lockdown, Canada’s Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau is asking Canadians not to travel out of country, or even to other parts of Canada.
