BHSN hosts youth mental health screening Hiding in Plain Sight

A screening of Hiding in Plain Sight, a powerful documentary about young people’s struggles with mental health was hosted by Behavioral Health Services North at the Strand Theater in Plattsburgh. The screening marked the organization’s 150th anniversary. The film, produced by Ken Burns and Erik Ewers, has earned critical acclaim for its candid portrayal of mental health challenges. Following the screening, a panel discussion featured Erik Ewers, one of the young people in the film, and local mental health professionals, emphasizing the importance of empathy, awareness, and the healing power of sharing personal stories.
