BETA Technologies achieved a significant milestone this week with the unveiling of a sprawling 200,000-square-foot manufacturing and assembly plant in South Burlington near the airport. The event, attended by hundreds of employees, state officials, and elected representatives, marks a substantial expansion for the electric aircraft manufacturer. BETA currently employs 600 individuals in Vermont and operates a testing facility at the Plattsburgh Airport. This expansion is expected to create hundreds more jobs in the coming years. BETA anticipates reaching full production capacity, churning out approximately 300 aircraft annually, once they obtain full certification, a goal they hope to achieve by 2027.
