Battle of Valcour Reenactment for 250th Anniversary

The Clinton County Historical Association is preparing to host a reenactment of the Battle of Valcour on Lake Champlain next fall to mark the 250th anniversary of the Revolutionary War. The battle, led by Benedict Arnold, was a key early naval engagement in the war, where the American fleet successfully stalled the British advance, forcing them to retreat to Quebec.

We sat down with the organizers a few weeks ago. Watch the interview here.

The reenactment will take place in October 2026 as part of the nationwide celebration of America’s 250th anniversary.
