The annual Battle of Plattsburgh commemoration coming up again from September 12th – 15th.
The Battle of Plattsburgh commemoration is a celebration of the battle that took place in our neck of the woods. On September 11, 1814 a critical battle of the War of 1812 was fought. The land and naval Battle of Plattsburgh led to the Treaty of Ghent that ended one of the few wars fought on United States soil.
Here are some stories we have done about the Battle of Plattsburgh in previous years. They will hopefully remind you how enjoyable the Battle of Plattsburgh commemoration is each year and how to helps us learn about our history in the area.
