With so much to do this Fall in the area, it gets hard to keep track everything.  No worries!  Here is a handy list of some of the many notable events that will be happening in our region!


September 2nd- 19th Annual Lake Champlain International Bass Open

Join LCI for their 19th annual Bass Open where competitive anglers compete for their best 6 bass. Register at

September 6th through September 9th- Battle of Plattsburgh Commemoration

Live music, 5 reenactments, Saturday parade, Fireworks & more!

September 9th- The Rooster Relay Hosted By Kinetic Running

One mile relay starts at 7am. One to six members per team. $50 per team registration until August 24th. $60 per team day of relay. Learn more at

September 16th- Fort Ticonderoga Trip

Spend the day at America’s Fort! Witness history come alive through weapon demos, special tours, Carillon boat cruises, hands-on family activities, museum exhibits, beautiful gardens, Mount Defiance and more at Fort Ticonderoga! September 29th- The Chasm Run 5K To Benefit NC Underground Railroad Museum

8 am run start. $20 registration until September 9th with T-shirt. $30 registration day of event. Registration form and waiver

October 6th- Lake Placid Classic Half-Marathon & 10K

To benefit local youth programs and Adirondack Health Fit for Life scholarship fund. Learn more and register at

October 13th- PBS Plattsnerd 3.0

Plattsburgh’s original local celebration of all things nerdy! Cosplay competition, gaming, artists tables, special vendors, all the fun you expect from PBS Plattsnerd and more! Visit

October 20th- 8th Annual Octoberfest Half Marathon, 10K, 5K & 50K Bike

October 21st- Seasonal Discoveries with Mountain Lake PBS At The Wild Center

Our final trip takes us deep into the Adirondack Mountains to explore Tupper Lake’s Wild Center. The Wild Center’s indoor and outdoor exhibits feature plenty of hands-on activities, the nationally renowned “Wild Walk” and hundreds of live animals native to the Adirondacks.
