Alliance for Positive Health in Plattsburgh pushed for the installation of the Narcan vending machine in Saranac Lake, and keeps it stocked. Bianca Snipe has filled the machine 5 times in the past few months. She & Vanessa Cappon with Alliance for Positive Health talk about the two vending machines in Franklin County, and a third that’s planned for Ticonderoga in Essex County this summer. In a partnership with the Adirondack Health Institute, it will be placed outside Hudson Headwaters Health’s Clinic next to Moses Ludington Hospital. Two other vending machines are also planned for Cambridge and Ogdensburg.
Cappon and Snide also talked about satellite locations in Plattsburgh where free Narcan is available, as well as training their staff provides to schools and organizations.
