The beloved winter light festival is marking 25 magical seasons and the celebration is brighter than ever:
For a quarter of a century, Alight at Night has delighted visitors with millions of twinkling lights, historic buildings glowing with holiday charm, and the unmistakable feeling of festive wonder.
This 25th anniversary season brings joyful new changes designed to make the experience even more welcoming and accessible for families across Ontario and nearby Quebec.
Thanks to participation in the Canada Strong Pass, more people can now enjoy one of the province’s most enchanting winter traditions. Youth and students ages five to seventeen receive free admission, while young adults ages eighteen to twenty four benefit from half price tickets.
It is a wonderful opportunity for families to gather, explore, and create lasting holiday memories together.
The season also features an extended schedule to help everyone fit the magic into their winter plans. Select nights began on November 28th, with the village continuing to glow nightly from December 18th through January 15, 2026.
Strolling through the village after dark, guests will discover sparkling pathways, historic homes dressed in festive light, and a warm seasonal atmosphere that feels both nostalgic and magical.
It is a gentle, family friendly experience that invites visitors of all ages to slow down, wander, and soak in the joy of the season.

A guest favorite, 30 minutes sleigh rides offer a peaceful and memorable way to experience the village at night. Wrapped in blankets, families can glide through softly lit paths while enjoying the gentle rhythm of the horses. Weather dependent.
Traditional Holiday Music and Carolling
Live seasonal music and carollers fill the air with festive cheer at Christ Church adding warmth and joy as visitors explore the village.
Visits With Father Christmas
Children can meet Father Christmas in a charming historic setting, share their holiday wishes, and enjoy a magical moment that feels timeless and heartwarming. The Village’s Family Activity Centre transforms into a magical Toy Factory. Meet their Victorian Saint Nick, share your holiday wishes, and capture a festive photo to remember.
Heritage Demonstrations After Dark
Select buildings feature costumed interpreters bringing nineteenth century holiday traditions to life, offering a gentle blend of learning and wonder for all ages.
Seasonal Food and Treats ( $ extra)
Visitors can enjoy comforting winter favourites such as hot chocolate, baked goods, and festive snacks available throughout the village, perfect for warming up on a chilly evening.

Accessibility Nights: Bundle up for a 30-minute evening driving tour through a postcard-perfect setting! Guests with limited mobility or sensory needs can enjoy Alight at Night from the comfort of their own vehicles on January 12, 2026.
As mentioned above, children’s tickets up to age seventeen are free with the Canada Strong Pass, but must still be reserved online in advance.
