A State Task Force last fall released its long-awaited report and recommendations on how to cut down on the use of road salt in the Adirondacks. Adirondack Explorer magazine recently brought together some of the members of that task force and other stakeholders at The Wild Center in Tupper Lake to talk about where now, 6 months later, the state and communities are as far as implementing pilot programs and the task force’s recommendations.
