Adirondack Center for Writing: At Home But Not Alone

The Adirondack Center for Writing brings people and words together by promoting the cultivation of art, reading and writing. While all in-person events are postponed, the ACW has gone digital! Here’s a list of what they are doing to keep our communities inspired and connected.

Weekly writing prompts – To help inspire you to create your writing, the ACW writers are stepping up to share their expertise. Prompts will be provided by Julia Alvarez, Mahogany L. Browne, Joseph Bruchac, Betsy Folwell, Sue Halpern, Bill McKibben, Jon Sands, Steve Stern, Chase Twichell, & more.

Must Read List – We all need a good book to read. ACW has compiled a list of suggestions from community members in various genres. Find your next favorite read, or share one you love to be added to the list. You can also tune in for the next Book Lovers Hangout event to connect with fellow bibliophiles!

Poemvillage – Instead of visiting a corridor of poetry in town, access locally-harvested poems through your email inbox twice weekly, or on the ACW website daily. Batches of poems are posted daily.
