A VIRTUAL MUSICAL FOR A VIRTUALLY UNBELIEVABLE YEAR

An original Essex County show offers a trip through time

If you’re looking to escape the year 2020, some creative kids have found a portal to the past.

Over the summer, a group of young students and adults in Essex County created the first original “physically-distanced” musical in the Adirondacks, a time-travel adventure.  This fall, it’s yours to enjoy.

The Book & Blanket Players usually perform on a stage in Keene Valley.  The program gives kids ages eight to eighteen live theater experience after an intense week of rehearsals.  This year, however, the students did not appear on the same stage. They performed their parts from their separate homes, and the musical was edited together for a 2020-style virtual show.
