Filmmaker Lori Bailey is coming home to the Adirondacks to host a special screening of her very first feature film, Mineville. Bailey filmed the movie 14-years ago in the mining towns of Port Henry, Moriah and Mineville. The film tells the story of the immigrants who worked in the iron ores mines in the early 20th century. The screening is being held at the Moriah Central School Auditorium on Sunday June 2nd at 2 in the afternoon.
Director Lori Bailey, who grew up in Mineville, will be joined on stage by actor William Sadler, one of the stars of the movie. Proceeds from the showing will benefit youth groups at the school. Tickets are $15 if purchased in advance through Moriah Central School and $20 at the door the day of the show on June 2nd.
