Classic board game Clue comes hilariously to life at the Segal Centre
If you’ve ever wanted to accuse someone of murder with a candlestick in the ballroom and mean it, now’s your chance…minus the jail time.
This June, the Segal Centre for Performing Arts invites you to step into a mansion full of secrets, suspects, and side-splitting comedy with Clue: On Stage, running from June 8 to 29 in the Sylvan Adams Theatre.

Directed by Segal’s own Lisa Rubin, this stage adaptation of the beloved board game and the 1985 cult classic film promises mystery, mayhem, and more one-liners than you can shake a lead pipe at.
Murder Has Never Been So Funny
The premise?
Simple. Six strangers, a spooky mansion, a suspicious staff, and a murder to solve.
Clue: On Stage isn’t just your average whodunit. It’s a high-speed, farcical roller coaster of double-crosses, mistaken identities, and rapid-fire jokes that would make even Colonel Mustard blush. Think physical comedy meets Agatha Christie, but with more delicious twists than ever before.
“It’s the story (and game) you know and love, with the magic of live theatre that’ll have the whole family begging for more,” says Rubin.
“I can even solve the first mystery for you! The only thing missing to make this a perfect evening out is: You. In the theatre. With a ticket.”
A Cast That’s Killer (In a Good Way)

The show features a who’s-who of Canadian stage talent, including Kyle Gatehouse (Sherlock Holmes, Haunted Hillbilly) as the ever-mysterious butler Wadsworth, Tamara Brown as the fabulously suspect Mrs. Peacock, and Matthew Gagnon as the twitchy Mr. Green. Fan favourites Marcel Jeannin, Alain Goulem, and Felicia Shulman bring life (and perhaps death?) to Colonel Mustard, Professor Plum, and Ms. Scarlet, respectively.
Nicole Wilson lends her dry wit to the icy Mrs. White, while newcomers Alexandra Petrachuk and Cara Rebecca keep things sizzling (and occasionally fatal) as Yvette and the Cook.
Rounding out the cast is Davide Chiazzese, who does triple-duty as Mr. Boddy and more – let’s just say his characters don’t all make it to curtain call.

Behind the Scenes of the Crime Scene
The creative team is just as top-notch: Brian Dudkiewicz’s set design transforms the Segal stage into a labyrinth of secret passageways, pull out sofas and drawing rooms. Louise Bourret’s costumes are as bold, colorful and cheeky as the characters who wear them. Lighting by Siminovitch Prize winner Sonoyo Nishikawa adds shadowy suspense (and the occasional flicker of horror), while Troy Slocum’s sound design ensures each creak, crash, and cry for help is delivered in Dolby-worthy perfection.
And because no murder mystery is complete without a little stage combat (and a lot of chaos), Robert Montcalm choreographs the slapstick scuffles with help from intimacy and fight specialist Cara Rebecca.
Whodunit? Who cares! You’ll be too busy laughing.

Whether you’re a die-hard fan of the board game, a Clue movie aficionado, or just looking for an uproarious night out, Clue: On Stage delivers a delightful dose of theatre that’s equal parts mystery and mayhem.
You are in for a killer good time …and you don’t even need to roll a die to enjoy it.
