Emergency Food Packages Delivered to Families in Need

Producer Will Houle has the story of an outpouring of support to help AdkAction and The Hub on the Hill feed hundreds of families during the pandemic. AdkAction has raised more than $130-thousand dollars to buy fresh, locally grown, healthy food from local farmers in the Adirondacks to deliver during the pandemic to 235 families in Clinton, Essex, Franklin, and Hamilton Counties. The emergency food boxes will help put nutritious food on the table for families hard hit economically by the pandemic, including the loss of jobs and income. Many of these families live in rural areas of the Adirondacks that were already facing food insecurity issues.
