Some giant military aircraft have been landing and taking off from the airport in Plattsburgh this week as part of a training exercise. The 439th Airlift Wing Air Reserve Unit from Westover Air Base in Massachusetts have been loading and unloading equipment and personnel at the former Air Force Base in Plattsburgh. The unit specializes in transporting FBI and FEMA teams to disaster areas. Giant C-5 and C-17 aircraft have been taking part in the exercise.
