AI Companions Combat Lonliness for Older Adults
The NY State Office for Aging is addressing social isolation among seniors with technology. 27,000 robotic cats and dogs have been distributed, providing comfort and companionship. Additionally, 800 seniors have received ElliQ, an AI-driven interactive companion designed to communicate and assist older adults, especially crucial during the exacerbated loneliness of the pandemic.
