Rev your engines for the 2020 Montreal International Auto Show
The 77th Montreal International Auto Show – Palais des Congrès / January 17th to 26th, 2020.
Are you a fan of sports or modified cars? Do you wish to switch your gas guzzler to an electric vehicle? Want to test drive the latest models to hit the market?
This year’s Montreal International Auto Show, presented by Desjardins Insurance in collaboration with The Gazette, will be held at Montreal’s Palais des Congrès from January 17th to the 26th, 2020.
Limited editions, sports and modified cars being one of the main highlights of this family friendly exhibition, you will quickly see why car aficionados flock in the thousands to this annual automotive fair, where local and foreign exhibitors introduce the latest automotive products, technologies and services.
Since a large portion of the over 200 000 attendees are more casual browsers and admirers rather than immediate buyers, this year four luxury brand retailers including Volvo, Audi and Mercedes-Benz have decided to pull out from the show leaving more floor space to competitors such as BMW-MINI who will be presenting seven Canadian premieres including the much awaited MINI Convertible Sidewalk!
For this 77th edition, the entire top floor of the show, entitled the 7e ciel will be dedicated to the promotion and display of electric vehicles. This is sure to garner much attention for Quebecers since the province remains the most generous for offering rebates and incentives for the purchase of EV’s.
If you are still unsure about making the switch, you can book appointments to test drive several vehicles including the Chevrolet Bolt as well as the Hyundai Kona and BMW i3 right outside the Palais.
Charity Preview Gala
For those who wish to have a first-hand look at the Auto show, the 16th edition Charity Preview Gala is a prestigious event to be held this Thursday January 16th, that not only gives you access to the various show rooms, but since 2005 has also helped raise over $8 million in funds for 6 major hospital foundations of the Greater Montreal Area.
Around 5000 guests, including stars, media personalities, automotive industry representatives, hospital directors and corporate sponsors will be treated to a lavish oyster bar, themed cocktails, various food stations, special features, DJ set, gift bags and the chance to win exclusive prizes all evening long.
Tickets at the cost of $230 are sold out online but may still be available by contacting one of the 6 partner Hospital Foundations and include privileged access to the 2020 Auto show, a gift bag containing the popular 2020 Auto Guide and all the aforementioned food and live entertainment.

January 17-25, 2020: 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM
January 26, 2020: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
The box office will close 90 minutes prior to the end of the exhibition.
