Musical Mornings with Tom Chapin

Singer-songwriter Tom Chapin, the Hudson Valley Troubadour, is spending time at home with his family this month, instead of on concert stages.  Wanting to keep the music alive this spring, he and his daughters created a half hour show streaming every weekday, Mornings with Papa Tom.  The show aims to entertain kids and their parents, as do many of the singer’s albums.  Tom draws from his extensive library of original songs, and even performs a few tunes from his favorite singers.  The Chapin Sisters, Abigail and Lily, join their father to make it a family sing-along and interactive experience for the viewers.  You’re invited to see Tom’s living room show weekdays at 11am ET.  Learn more about the program and its archived episodes at tomchapin.tv.

Enjoy Spotlight producer Paul Larson’s interview with Tom Chapin here.  They discuss the weekday program and the musician’s passion for an organization his brother Harry Chapin co-founded, WhyHunger.

Spotlight is made possible, in part, by the Glenn and Carol Pearsall Adirondack Foundation, dedicated to improving the quality of life for year-round residents of the Adirondack Park.  Spotlight is also supported by Hill & Hollow Music.
