"Songs to Keep, Treasures of an Adirondack Folk Collector" commemorates its recent award win with a special broadcast of the program, including an interview with the producer about the Emmy ceremony.
The program relates the story of folklorist Marjorie Lansing Porter, who dedicated much of her life to saving traditional folk songs before the population who remembered the tunes vanished. Performers include the Bacon Brothers, Alex Smith, Celia Evans, Dan Berggren, and Dave Ruch.
Pete Seeger gave his final interview for this documentary.
