State Begins Hearings On Future Of Historic Adirondack Rail Line
After years of debate the state begins hearings into the future of a historic rail line through the heart of the Adirondacks. Plans call for the state to fix up and reopen the entire Adirondack Rail Trail from Remsen to Lake Placid, but others want to tear up the tracks and turn the line into a multi-use recreational trail. Hearings continue next week in Utica on Monday (state office building in Utica, 1-4pm, September 16th) and Tupper Lake on Tuesday (Wild Center in Tupper Lake, 6-9pm, September 17th.)
