We'll talk with former Air Force Officers and community leaders about the closing of the base, and whether they believe the region has recovered from the loss.

MIGHTY EFFORTS: Former Plattsburgh Mayor Clyde Rabideau talks about the closing of the Air Force Base including the politics he and many others believe played a role in deciding which military bases were targeted for closure. Rabideau led the effort to land Canadian rail car manufacturer Bombarider to open a plant in Plattsburgh to help offset the loss of the base and hundreds of civilian jobs connected to it.

PAFB MUSEUM REOPENS: Volunteers have reopened the PAFB museum that closed in 1995. We talk with Museum Curator Frank Baehre about the efforts over several years to reopen the museum. To learn more click here.
POPE VISITS AMERICA: Hundreds of Catholics from the North Country are heading to New York and Philadelphia to attend masses or other events with Pope Francis, who is making his first visit to the United States. Among the faithful making a pilgrimage to see the Holy Father is Monsignor Dennis Duprey who is the Pastor of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Plattsburgh.

TRIPLE E THREAT: Health officials are warning people, and horse owners to be on alert after the first-ever case of Triple E, Eastern Equine Encephalitis, was confirmed in a horse in Franklin County, New York.
RACING LEGEND: Leon Gonyo, a champion race car driver from Chazy, New York, is remembered by his friends, neighbors, and fellow race car drivers. Gonyo died after suffering a medical emergency just moments after winning a race at Devil's Bowl Race Track in West Haven, Vermont last weekend.
