When Plattsburgh City Mayor Jim Calnon sat down with us we asked him about the council’s vote to team up with a Canadian company to open a new marina on the waterfront at the Dock Street Landing on Lake Champlain. We also talk about the major year-long construction project in the city’s south end and whether the city should consider closing off downtown streets to create a pedestrian mall like Church Street in Burlington. New rules the Mayor believes would improve the safety of oil trains moving millions of gallons of crude through the city. And we ask the mayor about cleaning up an eyesore.
