Music video celebrates diversity of Winooski, Vermont
A music video celebrating the diversity of Winooski, Vermont by the African Hip Hop group, A2VT is getting lots of attention. The song entitled "Winooski, My Town" had over 7600 YouTube hits only three days after its release. The number continues to see a steady increase daily. A comment posted by A2VTMusic says, "Winooski took in a lot of refugees of war from Africa and Asia. Refugees who come from camps and situations you and I would not wanna know about. Having never really had a town of their own before, the guys wrote a song of love to the town that embraced them." The tune can be heard on the hip-hop group's debut album, "Africa, Vermont," produced by David Cooper. It can be purchased online at: cdbaby.com. According to the channel the video was made possible by a grant from the Vermont Community Foundation.
