30 City set to host 12th iteration of the traveling festival
At 7:00 pm on Monday, August 18th, 30 City will host an evening of live music and short films. The Gadabout Film Fest will offer attendees a selection of short films, as well as live music from Eric Ayotte, who organizes the annual traveling presentation. Local singer songwriter For the Kid in The Back will also be performing. The event starts at 7:00 pm and is completely free and open to the public. Contributions will be accepted to help cover the festival's traveling costs.
The Gadabout Film Fest has been touring with a new batch of films each year since 2002. This 12th annual festival is a special program of films called "Speechless". All the films have no dialogue. What may seem like a limitation can actually open the door to a more creative approach to film making. The Gadabout strives to bring together a collection of inspiring, fun, and entertaining short films by passionate genuine filmmakers.
Eric Ayotte and The Gadabout Film Fest will be on tour together this fall for 3 months going to over 75 cities in the US, before continuing to over 15 other counties. Eric Ayotte's sincere songs bring a political message as well as an emotional truth. Eric will be supporting his new album "Transparency", and joined by Charlie Jones on vocals. For the Kid in the Back will be fresh off of the release of his latest EP, “Death to Our Enemies”.
