The crowd at the memorial
Campus and Community members gather to listen to speakers talk about September 11, 2001.
Yesterday a crowd gathered at Hawkins Pond on the SUNY Plattsburgh campus to remember a tragedy that happened 11 years ago. Memories of 9/11 were shared at the memorial, and the color guard commemorated the event. William J. Erwin and Robert Suitcliffe, two graduates who perished in the crash will be forever remembered. The campus holds a memorial for the victims on the anniversary of this day each year, to remind people of the event that both hurt this nation and brought it together.
