NCCCA Announces April and May Class Schedule
Performance and Visual Arts Classes Provide Education, Creativity and Fun
The North Country Cultural Center for the Arts (NCCCA) announces the schedule for its April and May classes, in the areas of visual arts, clay, dance, theater, and music. The classes include options for people of any age or experience level.
“We are pleased with the variety and quantity of classes we’re offering in April and May,” says Janine Scherline, NCCCA Executive Director. “Spring is a great time to explore something new, and we have everything from theatre, music and dance, to classes in clay and visual art.”
“Our classes aim to develop your skills as an artist; whether a beginner or not, and no matter your age, there is something fun for you!” says NCCCA Education Coordinator, Emily Owens.
This spring, participants will have the opportunity to improve drawing or painting skills in small group sessions during Still Life and Figure Drawing workshops. Clay classes are also available for those who enjoy creating pieces with their hands and include all levels from youth, teens and adults. Classes titles include, Mommy & Me Clay Time, Beginning Wheel and the adult-only Mud & Merlot.
The NCCCA is also offering several types of classes in the performing arts in April and May. These include Classical Ballet for youth, and Floor Barre: Stretch & Strengthen and Beginning Ballet for adults. The Theater for Youth program also continues with both an introductory course and a more advanced class in character development. Music offerings include Music for Small Hands, Garage Band, Chamber Music Coaching, and Private Lessons in cello, violin, voice and piano.
