The North Country Cultural Center for the Arts (NCCCA Arts Center) is pleased to announce the return of its popular Family Arts program. The next Second Sunday Family Arts program will take place on October 14th from 1-3pm at the Arts Center.
Second Sunday Family Arts is a dedicated to providing families with the opportunity to create together. Projects are themed according to month and use materials that can be found in the average family household. Families can use these monthly sessions as inspiration to continue art projects at home.
"The Family Arts program offers families an inexpensive outlet to spend time together,” says instructor Jeff Woodard. “My goal is to show families that with common household items, any day can be a family creative day! Come spend a few hours getting your hands dirty, creating cherished family projects!"
“Family Arts is a great way for families to spend an afternoon together,” says Emily Owens, NCCCA Education Coordinator. “Working with Jeff, families are sure to participate in an engaging project and have something fun to bring home!”
Family Arts is held on the second Sunday of every month. No registration is required and the cost of the program is $5 per child or $12 for a family of 3 or more children.
The Arts Center is open to visitors Tuesday through Friday, 10am - 5pm and Saturdays, 10am - 4pm. For a complete listing of all classes and workshops, please visit the NCCCA Arts Center’s website at: www.plattsburgharts.org
