Lost Nation Theater, proudly presents Hamlet, William Shakespeare’s most popular tragedy, October 11th through 28th, 2012 at City Hall Arts Center, in downtown Montpelier.
Considered by many to be Shakespeare’s greatest achievement, Hamlet is the most produced play in the English language, and has, thus far, also been made into 26 ballets and 45 movies.
How can you trust anyone, if you can't even trust your own senses? Intrigue, the supernatural, music, humor and powerful drama combine to tell this tale of ambition, betrayal and vengeance.
LNT, hailed as "the state's premier producer of Shakespeare" by 7 Days, presents its intimate treatment of Shakespeare's masterpiece, with just 8 actor-musician-combatants to tell the tale and sets its stage in the round (audience on all sides) to enhance the sense of someone’s always watching and the question of are people really who they say they are.
