The Alliance will continue to focus on helping to strengthen economic development in Ticonderoga, through promoting and supporting revitalization projects and actions.
Lance and Nancy have been summer residents of the Ticonderoga and Hague areas for many years, and now live in Hague. They recently retired from the United Nations, where Lance served as UN Ambassador in the country of Georgia and as head of the UN system and its economic development work in Georgia and in Serbia. He also helped lead relief and peace efforts in various conflict-affected countries, such as Somalia, Rwanda, and Former Yugoslavia, and most recently in Sudan and South Sudan. Among Nancy’s work has been refugee integration in the U.S., serving as the Asia Region Director for Christian Children’s Fund, promoting child protection in the country of Georgia, and coordinating economic development in the Darfur region of Sudan and employment generation for ex-combatants in northern Sudan.
Nancy and Lance note that “We are excited to have this opportunity to contribute to Ticonderoga’s future. We love this region, and are happy to add our efforts and ideas to those already working for the good of the Ti."
