SHOOTING TRAGEDY: New York’s Governor calls for tougher gun laws following the school massacre in Connecticut, and we talk with school leaders, and a crisis team, about how local schools are dealing with the tragedy.
ECONOMIC AID: For the second year in a row the state is sending millions of dollars to the North Country for more than 80 projects to help save or create jobs. Among the projects getting funding include the Wild Center in Tupper Lake, International Paper in Ticonderoga, and money to build a slaughterhouse in Ticonderoga.
LAKE CITY TO SIN CITY: Hundreds of passengers line up to catch the very first direct flight from Plattsburgh to Las Vegas on Allegiant Airlines. The airline plans twice-weekly non-stop flights.
HERE COME THE TRAINS: Our Jack LaDuke takes us back in time to an exhibit of G-model trains at the Tahawus Lodge Gallery in AuSable Forks, New York. The model trains were a popular gift of many a Christmas past.
