Lori Sames discusses Hannah's Hope Fund and finding a cure for Giant Axonal Neuropathy (GAN)
Mountain Lake PBS MAKER Lori Sames is the Executive Director of Hannah's Hope Fund, an organization that raises funds for the treatment and cure of Giant Axonal Neuropathy (GAN), a recessively inherited condition that results in progressive nerve death. It is named after her youngest daughter Hannah who was diagnosed with GAN in March of 2008. Here she discusses her work and dedication to finding a treatment and cure for the rare condition. Plattsburgh State University students Yessenia Funes and Eric Lylis produced this video as part of our Mountain Lake PBS MAKERS initiative. We thank them for their efforts.
