The Fund for Lake George and the Hague Water Quality Awareness
Committee are co-sponsoring an evening of presentations and dialog about
the state of Lake George and actions that each of us can take to help protect
it. Learn what you can do to help guide the fate of the Lake.
Doors will open at 7:00 PM; Presentation will begin promptly at 7:30 PM.
Experts, including scientists and local
landscapers, will be on hand to provide information and answer questions. Experts will address the three biggest
challenges facing the Lake:
- Rising salt levels: Dr. Jim Sutherland, research scientist, Fund
consultant, considered the “father of Lake George hydrology”
- Aquatic invasive species: Dave Wick, Executive Director, Lake
George Park Commission
- Water clarity: Chris Navitsky, Lake George Waterkeeper
After the presentations, take advantage of the opportunity to discuss the
issues with the speakers and other participants while enjoying free
