Plattsburgh Roller Derby Ready to Face Twin City Riot
Lumber Jills to play Central Vermont team at Night of the Rolling Dead
Show your North Country spirit and come to the City Recreation Center on the U.S. Oval in Plattsburgh and cheer on the North Country Lumber Jills on Saturday October 26th in your Halloween costume for their zombie themed event!
Plattsburgh Roller Derby’s the Lumber Jills are 8-2 this season and only have two bouts left. Join the Lumber Jills on Saturday October 26th when they face Twin City Riot from Central Vermont during the Night of the Rolling Dead!
“This is one of the most exciting bouts of the season,” said skater bacon bellhooker. “Not only is it enjoyable to watch the players skate, but it is great to see the audience participate by wearing their own costumes,” continues bacon bellhooker.
The bout will take place at the Plattsburgh City Recreation Center on the U.S. Oval. Doors open to the public at 5:00pm, with the first whistle at 6:00pm. Look for our children’s Halloween costume contest during halftime!

The North Country Lumber Jills will be providing food featuring pizza and other snacks and beverages, while Olive Ridley’s will be in charge of the beer garden as well as hosting the after party. All major credit cards are also accepted at our merch table!
North Country Lumber Jills is the team for Plattsburgh Roller Derby (PRD), a skater-owned and operated roller derby league that formed in the spring of 2010. PRD prides itself in supporting the local community and dedicates its time to furthering the understanding of roller derby and female athleticism. Each home bout is dedicated to a local non-profit organization where all proceeds from the 50/50 raffle are donated to the designated organization. This year the Lumber Jills have partnered with ROTA Gallery, Reality Check, Imaginarium Children’s Museum, and the Autism Alliance of the Northeastern New York.
