The North Country Lumber Jills are gearing up for the end of the 2013 roller derby season! Since roller derby is such a costly sport because of gym rentals, travelling and equipment, the Lumber Jills are starting the second half of the home bout season with a bottle drive on Saturday September 7th from 12PM-4PM. Do not worry about meeting us at a specific location, the team will come to you! Just gather your bottles and cans and give us a call at (518) 335-2295 and someone from the team will be by to pick them up!
Show your support to the Lumber Jills! Start collecting your bottles and cans today!
North Country Lumber Jills is the team for Plattsburgh Roller Derby (PRD), a skater-owned and operated roller derby league that formed in the spring of 2010. PRD prides itself in supporting the local community and dedicates its time to furthering the understanding of roller derby and female athleticism. Each home bout is dedicated to a local non-profit organization where all proceeds from the 50/50 raffle are donated to the designated organization. This year the Lumber Jills have partnered with Kent-Delord House Museum, ROTA Gallery, Reality Check, Imaginarium Children’s Museum, and the Autism Alliance of the Northeastern New York.
