NCCCA Arts Center Welcomes Violin Instructor Marilyn Reynolds
Reynolds Offers a Holiday Special on Violin Lessons
The NCCCA is pleased to announce the availability of private Violin Lessons with violinist Marilyn Reynolds on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Lessons are designed for beginners through advanced levels, ages 7 to adult. In addition, for a holiday special, Reynolds is offering a series of four lessons at a discounted price.
“Marilyn is a wonderful addition to our Arts Center teaching roster,” says NCCCA Executive Director, Janine Scherline. “Our Music Studio is growing steadily and we are excited to have such an accomplished performer and teacher at our facility.”
“We are thrilled that Marilyn has joined our Music Studio,” says NCCCA Education Coordinator, Emily Owens. “It is wonderful to have a musician of Marilyn’s caliber working with the Arts Center and we are pleased that North Country musicians will have the opportunity to study with her.”
Reynolds is a well-respected member of the music community. A graduate of the Oberlin Conservatory of Music and the Royal Conservatory of Brussels (Belgium), Reynolds worked in New York City before coming to the North Country. She is a member of the Orchestra of St. Luke’s and has also performed on Broadway in musicals including Sunday in the Park, Les Misérables, Chicago and Gypsy. Reynolds brings her wide range of experience and enthusiasm to the classroom and tailors lessons to meet the needs of her students.
The cost per lesson is $60 for an hour, $45 for 45 minutes or $30 for a half hour lesson for young beginners. During the month of December, a series of four 45-minute lessons is available at the special price of $100. This is the perfect opportunity to give the gift of music to family or friends, or see if the violin is the instrument for you. The special holiday price also includes instrument rental.
