NCCCA Arts Center Announces Performance by The Henhouse Prowlers
3rd Performance of the Outdoor Jumpin’ Concert Series
The North Country Cultural Center for the Arts (NCCCA Arts Center) is pleased to announce the third band to perform in the Outdoor Jumpin’ Concert Series, The Henhouse Prowlers. The concert is free and will be held Thursday, July 25th from 5:30pm to 7:00pm on the lawn of the NCCCA Arts Center located on the corner of Brinkerhoff and Margaret Streets in downtown Plattsburgh.
The Henhouse Prowlers are a bluegrass band with the right formula for sonic success – heavenly harmonies on top of furious fingerpicking – moving at lightning quick speeds. After eight years of hard work and a relentless tour schedule, Chicago’s Henhouse Prowlers have gained a reputation for their highly original, tradition-inspired bluegrass built on a strong foundation of intricate harmonies and electrifying stage energy.
Janine Scherline, NCCCA Executive Director says, “With a PBS series soundtrack under its belt and a critically acclaimed recording produced by Grammy winner, Sally Van Meter, and another recording on the way, the Henhouse Prowlers are red hot on the bluegrass scene.”
Scherline continues, “And with accolades like that, we’re lucky to have them in our midst. We know our audience will be in for a wonderful treat!”
The July 25th concert will be held in conjunction with the North Country Chamber of Commerce Business After-Hours, sponsored by Coldwell Banker Whitbeck Associates and Community Bank. The performance by Henhouse Prowlers is sponsored by Jumpin’ Series Sponsors: CVPH Medical Center, Jefford’s Steel and PrimeLink. The Jumpin’ series is also supported by Plattsburgh Distributing, Pepsi, and Econo Lodge.
The performance is free and open to the public. The concert will begin at 5:30pm. Beverages and light refreshments will be for sale. Blankets and lawn chairs are recommended.
The Arts Center is open Tuesday-Friday, 10am-5pm and Saturdays, 10am-4pm. For a complete listing of events, please visit the NCCCA’s website at: www.plattsburgharts.org.
