NCCCA Arts Center Announces Art Quest: Clay Week
Summer camp where young artists learn about clay and create unique art pieces!
The North Country Cultural Center for the Arts is excited to announce the new Art Quest workshop, “Clay Week”! Artists, ages 6-14, will explore various methods of working with clay, including pinch pots and coil pots, to make unique pieces of art!
“Art Quest classes are a great way for children to explore new art forms while on their summer break,” says Aimée Baker, NCCCA Education Coordinator. “Working with clay is so popular that we opened up another week of Art Quest to meet the demand!”
Art Quest: Clay Week will take place August 19-23, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. each day, at the Arts Center and costs $95 for non-members or $85 for members. Scholarships are available. Register your child for a fun-filled expedition of underwater life by visiting the Arts Center’s website or by contacting the Arts Center directly!
“Working with clay is a great way for children to interact with and create three dimensional pieces in a way that they may not be able to do normally,” says Rebecca Conklin, Art Quest: Clay Week instructor. “This is a great way for kids to have fun as the summer draws to a close!”
The Arts Center is open to visitors Tuesday through Friday, 10am - 5pm and Saturdays, 10am - 4pm. For a complete listing of all classes and workshops, please visit the Arts Center’s website at: www.plattsburgharts.org
