NCCCA Arts Center Announces April Art Quest: Underwater Explorers
Week-long Arts Camp for Kids takes place during upcoming school vacation
The North Country Cultural Center for the Arts (NCCCA Arts Center) announces the upcoming April Art Quest program for artists ages 5-12. The spring program entitled, “Underwater Explorers,” takes place during the spring recess from school in April. Participants will learn about the sea and how it is portrayed through art, as well as create aquatic-related artwork in several different mediums during their school vacation.
“The aquatic theme of this Art Quest will be a fun, exciting focus after the long months of winter,” says Janine Scherline, NCCCA Executive Director. “The children will be able to welcome the spring weather with colorful, sea-themed art and the aquatic theme will surely get them thinking about the upcoming summer months to come!”
“Art Quest is a great way for children to explore their creativity and to discover how to better their art skills,” says Emily Owens, NCCCA Education Coordinator. “They will look forward to learning through the arts during this vacation!”
Art Quest will take place April 1-5, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. each day, at the Arts Center. Costs are $95 for non-members or $85 for members. Scholarships are available. Register your child for a fun-filled expedition of underwater life by contacting the Arts Center directly!
The Arts Center is open to visitors Tuesday through Friday, 10am - 5pm and Saturdays, 10am - 4pm. For a complete listing of all classes and workshops, please visit the Arts Center’s website at: www.plattsburgharts.org.
