On Saturday, August 4th at 7:30 p.m., Louise Dionne will perform a piano concert at Saranac Village at Will Rogers. This recital will feature arrangements by Liszt and Lecuona along with songs from her most recent album.
Louise Dionne recorded “Floating on Lake Champlain” in March and May 2011 in Miami, Florida at The Hit Factory at Criteria Studios. The recording engineer was Dave Poler and the promoting artist was Marlon Ron who is in charge of distribution. The compact disc includes works by Bach, Scarlatti, Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Chopin and Dionne’s 2007 composition that bears the name of the CD.
Dionne has performed extensively in this area for many years and in venues across the US and Canada. She has taught in the Plattsburgh vicinity privately and in classes. She has been a part of the music faculty at Plattsburgh State University for over ten years and has maintained her private studio “Louise Dionne’s Piano Studio” downtown on Margaret Street for twenty-three years (dionnepianostudio.com). She received her Master of Music Degree from Ithaca College in 1988 and her Bachelor of Arts Degree with a major in music and two minors in French and Spanish in 1985.
Dionne shares a home with her Cuban born husband, Ernesto Rodriguez, and their son, Camilo, a budding two-year old musician.
