On March 25 20h, L’Usine C will present KLUMZY, a disarming, delicate and ephemeral theatrical piece by Director Nicolas Cantin.
Emerging from the shadows, a woman appears on stage. She gradually retraces the path of her life weaving between truth, fiction and dreams of the future. The audience is gradually drawn into a world of deep contemplation as time (present, past and future) is seemingly suspended on stage. Her story could very well be our own...
Director Nicolas Cantin’s work generally centers on concepts that comment on the world around us, such as his previous successful dance – theater piece CHEESE presented at the FTA in 2012.
With KLUMZY, the show is meant as a dually exterior and interior journey that caresses nostalgia. Moments of silence can pull more weight than the spoken word.
This recent creation aims to tear down the physical boundaries of representation to better reveal the raw essence of human beings.
What happens when social masks fall?
"Everything fades , dissolves . [...] It's so fleeting! I then dig the question of memory that's trying to form a truth by suspending the past, present and future in the same space - time. "
- Nicolas Cantin
