On Saturday, September 10th at 7:30 p.m., at Saranac Village at Will Rogers, Joe Dockery & Liz Whipps will perform an evening of songs from the 60’s and 70’s, plus jazz and country favorites. After meeting at Joe’s sell-out production of Saranac Lake Sings the Sixties, the two have worked up a show they hope you remember.
Joe is a chiropractor in Saranac Lake, having moved here from Virginia to slow down, play more music and enjoy all life has to offer. While in Virginia, Joe performed as a percussionist and guitar player in various local musical groups, and was also a music promotor and sponsor. He was executive director of the non-profit Queen City Acoustic concert series, and along with former Statler Brother, Jimmy Fortune and Robin & Linda Williams he co-founded the Fortune Williams Music Festival.
Liz has been singing her whole life, both professionally and locally, and brings down the house with spirituals and Motown favorites.
This program is open to the public and a $5 donation is requested. Refreshments will be served. For more information, please call 518-891-7117.
