New local band, Invasive Species, with special guests, The Lemmon Drops, will perform at Saranac Village at Will Rogers on March 24th, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. Invasive Species will soon be performing at many events in the North Country including the April 7th Battle of the Bands at the Upstate Concert Hall in Clifton Park NY.
Invasive Species is a progressive rock band from Saranac Lake. The group consists of Hudson Gray, frontman and lead guitarist; Travis Buck, instrumentalist of the electrified bass guitar; Dominique Santiago, additional singer, rhythm guitarist and clarinetist; Peter Curtis, supporting singer and trombonist and Cameron Czadzeck, drummer. All band members are involved with the Saranac Lake High School’s Band and music programs.
The Lemmon Drops are a band of four playing mostly original music written by Sarah Curtis (vocals and rhythm guitar) and Leo Brill (vocals and lead guitar). Barb Curtis plays upright bass and Russell Feher plays percussion. Their music is a blend of styles described as “indie” with strains of blues, pop, folk and rock.
This program is open to the public and donations will be accepted for which a portion will go to the Saranac Lake Young Arts Association. Refreshments will be served. For more information, you can find both these groups on facebook or you can call 518-891-7117.
