On Saturday, August 13th at 7:30 p.m., photographer and world traveler, Gerry Lemmo, will present a digital slide show on life at the seashore. From the beaches of Maine to coastal Alaska, hear sounds of the sea and its inhabitants, including birds, mammals and various other sea creatures. Examine some of the life forms waiting to be found and discover what secrets modern science has discovered from two of the unique, yet common, denizens of the sea. Images include the comical puffin, diamondback terrapin, a primitive horseshoe crab, feisty Stellar’s sea lions and starfish in a tidal pool.
Gerry Lemmo's photographs have been featured in many books, calendars and magazines including National Geographic, Adirondack Life and Adirondack Explorer. He has also worked with the National Audubon Society, International Paper, The Nature Conservancy, General Electric, the San Diego Zoo, The London Times and the National Wildlife Federation. Gerry has visited six continents and has a collection of over 70,000 photographs; some which have been seen in over twenty countries.
This program is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served. For more information, please call 518-891-7117.
